Cage colocation is available in flexible sizes from 10'x10' (100 square feet), typically in increments of 5'. Customers with more than four racks, or using more than 4KW per rack, use flexible cage colocation to maintain security and convenient access to their equipment, and the added benefit of more options for power distribution.
Customers primarily choose cage colocation when meeting one or more of the following needs:
Multiple cabinets in colocation, where close proximity of the cabinets is required or desirable;
Power demands in excess of standard cabinet configurations;
Large equipment or equipment that cannot be mounted in standard cabinets (large SANs, tape libraries, etc.);
Mix of equipment styles and configurations that makes cabinet mounting impractical.
